A Few Great Camping Spots in the US
A good camping sleeping pad can help someone get the most from
their camping trips. After a long day of fishing, hiking and doing whatever
else a camping spot might offer, people can sleep comfortably and wake up ready
to head back out.
Here are
some great locations where high-quality sleeping bags and sleeping pads will
come in handy.
Glacier National Park (Montana)
Glacier National
Park has plenty of gorgeous scenery and hiking opportunities—about 700 miles,
to be more specific. The park also has 13 campgrounds and over 1,000 campsites.
Campers who come during the Spring and Summer can go bicycling, fishing and
boating. In the wintertime, Glacier offers skiing and snowshoeing
opportunities.
Joshua Tree National Park
(California)
Southern
California’s Joshua Tree National Park is located between the Mojave and
Colorado desert ecosystems. In addition to its beautiful landscape, it is home
to a wide range of animals and plants. People can wander along the park’s
nature trails or take a hike out to spots like Mastodon Peak and various
historical sites. Rock climbers can also choose from more than 8,000 climbing
routes. And when the nighttime comes, they can unroll a sleeping bag and sleeping pad and get a good night’s rest.
Olympic National Park (Washington)
To say that
Olympic National Park is big would be a bit of an understatement—it encompasses
almost 1 million acres of land. And within those acres are verdant rainforests
and such stunning peaks as Mt. Olympus, Mt. Deception and Mt. Constance. If
someone complains about not having anything to do here, they are woefully
lacking in imagination—people can go backpacking, climbing, fishing and more.
Badlands National Park (South Dakota)
Want to see
some cool fossils? Head to Badlands National Park in South Dakota. The park’s
244,000 acres holds what the National Park Service calls “the largest
assemblage of known late Eocene and Oligocene mammal fossils.”
Badlands
National Park has plenty of living animals too, including dozens of butterfly
species and more than 200 bird species. Also, avid stargazers can take
advantage of night sky-viewing opportunities in the summertime.
